When you’ve got ED, you try a lot of ED meds. At least, I sure have. It took me a while to admit to myself that I actually had ED. But once I made it past that initial hurdle, I started trying to find the right med for my body.
My journey led me through brand names and generics, single ingredients and compound meds that combined 2 or more. And what I found was that compound meds delivered best on the two most important fronts: onset time and duration.
And when it came to compound meds, the two best ingredients for me were Sildenafil and Tadalafil. I’ve only found two companies that combine them: Hello Cake and Ro. But with differences in format and dosage strengths, I wasn’t sure which one would be best for me. Until I tried them both side by side.

I will come out and say that Ro Sparks are my second favorite ED med. For me, Sildenafil + Tadalafil is the winning combo. But there’s definitely a question of dosage. Something about Ro Sparks was just too much for my system and while they worked, they left me so flushed I looked like a tomato. I thought it was hilarious, but my wife was not a fan.
The Medication:
Sparks combines Sildenafil (55 mg) and Tadalafil (22 mg) in a dissolvable “drop” format. The ingredients are correct (for me) and the format is supposed to help them kick in faster.
The Sign Up Process:
Ro has a lot of stuff going on. You can get ED treatment, hair loss treatment, even super-trendy Ozempic for weight loss. Thankfully, I was just on the hunt for ED meds. Which they did have plenty of! They have their Sparks and Daily Rise Gummies, plus brand name and generic Viagra and Cialis. All good options, but I will say that if I was newer to the ED med game I would have felt very overwhelmed.
The Price:
At $12/dose, Ro Sparks isn’t bad price-wise. Especially when you look at how much they’re packing into each dose. They do offer a discount on bulk, 3-month orders but it’s just $15, which leaves them way pricier than even the extra-strength Cake Meds (which, for the record, pack an even harder punch active ingredient-wise).
The Experience:
I think it bears repeating that Sildenafil + Tadalafil is my favorite ED med ingredient combo. I don’t get any of the more unpleasant medication side effects when I take them (nausea, vomiting, etc.) and the combo acts fast and lasts for a good amount of time. But even with winning ingredients, Ro Sparks left a few things to be desired.
First off, they say that their meds take just 15 minutes to start working, but that number doesn’t take into account the 10 minutes it takes for the “drop” to dissolve under your tongue… So it’s really more like 25-30 before you’re getting hard.
The other, major downside for me with Ro Sparks was the flushing. While I felt fine, by the time the meds fully kicked in I looked like I had just run a marathon. My wife said she was worried I was going to pop. She was so worried that she insisted we stop and try again later.
I don’t know if it was the dosage amount or something different, but with no other dosage options available, I wound up relegating Ro Sparks to the “partial win” category.
Overall rating: 9/10
Best ingredients. Best format. Best price. Faster onset. Equal duration. If you’ve made it this far, I don’t think it comes as a surprise that Cake Meds are the winner. It’s like they’re everything Ro is trying to be and then some.
The Medication:
Cake Meds come in regular strength (my dose) with 40 mg Sildenafil and 8 mg Tadalafil or extra strength with 80 mg Sildenafil and 17 mg Tadalafil. Proportionally, both lean more towards Sildenafil than Ro Sparks. And their quick-dissolve format needs waaaay less time to actually start working.
The Sign Up Process:
Without all the weight loss and hair loss and eyelash loss and acne and everything else treatments that Ro had to offer, Cake’s sign up process was pleasantly straightforward. Just finding out if you’re qualified for ED meds and deciding which strength is right for you.
The Price:
At $7/dose for regular strength and $10.50/dose for extra strength, Cake Meds are just outright cheaper than Ro Sparks. And when you stack in the 30% discount for ordering a 6-month supply (which I took advantage of after my very first order) the price per dose is killer.
The Experience:
I think it’s important to be fair but critical with these reviews. I know from experience how important it is to find the right ED med for your body and how much of a confidence boost that can be. So with all that said, there’s really not much I have to criticize with Cake Meds.
For me, this is the right dose in the right delivery method. They kick in fast — I’d say these are the only meds I’ve tried that actually deliver on their “starts working in 15 minutes” promise. And once they start working, these meds stay working. That 36 hour claim is not an exaggeration by any means.
Most importantly, I got that “so hard I need to do something with it” kind of erection that I thought was a thing of the past. And I got it without the flushing that I had with Ro Sparks.
All in all, Cake Meds felt like exactly what I was looking for in an ED med: something that brought my confidence back, brought my erections back, and brought my sex life back. And man, after spending so much time wishing I could have it all back, it feels amazing to actually be there.
To me, Cake Meds and Ro Sparks represent two of the best ED meds out there. With their compound formulas of Sildenafil and Tadalafil, they deliver fast-acting, long-lasting ED relief.
Which meant that this was really a question of who was the best of the best. And that was Hello Cake. With a faster onset time, more dialed in dosing, extra dosage options, and a better erectile experience, Cake Meds came out as the clear winner in my book — as close to perfect as I may ever find in an ED med.
And if you’re curious about giving them a try for yourself, you can get your first order of Hello Cake ED Meds for 20% off with code: PRIMARY20. Having tried just about every ED med out there, I can say pretty confidently that you’re going to love ‘em.
