I cook for a living, which is why 9 times out of 10 my answer to, “What’s for dinner?” is takeout. Because when you spend 50+ hours a week cooking for other people, the last thing you want to do is cook for yourself.
But surviving on kitchen scraps, pizza, frozen food, and whatever’s offering a deal on UberEats is not exactly a healthy lifestyle. It also frustrates my wife, who expected to reap the benefits of marrying a chef and not become an expert at making midnight dino nuggets.
So, I decided to cook at home more, which meant I needed to invest in some new cookware. And I found GreenPan’s GP5 pans. They’re the brand’s highest-quality collection – ideal for a chef or just anyone who wants the best. They’re also incredibly nonstick, free from PFAS, PFOS, lead, and cadmium, easy to clean, and most importantly: they’ve made cooking at home fun again.
I have a confession. I LOVE nonstick pans. I know they’re not traditionally “chefy” – my culinary friends might literally roast me for this – but you can pry my nonstick from my cold, dead fingers.
I’ve had enough of seasoning cast iron and carbon steel pans. The maintenance, the careful drying, the upkeep. The endless amounts of butter and/or oil required to keep a steel pan from sticking. Not in my home. Not when nonstick exists. And the best nonstick I’ve ever tried: GreenPan’s GP5, hands down.
This set is *mwah* beautiful. It’s ceramic, so it’s free of PFAS and similar toxins. It’s diamond- reinforced, so I don’t have to freak out when “somebody” uses a metal utensil to stir food. And it’s a real workhorse; I’ve done everything in my GP5's that I would do in a commercial kitchen and they’ve come out no worse for wear every single time. And that is the sign of some seriously quality nonstick.
If you’ve ever worked in a restaurant – or seen the TV show The Bear – you know that those environments can be pretty toxic. But your cookware shouldn’t be!
Unfortunately, many nonstick pans are coated with Teflon and thus full of PFAS – a dangerous “forever chemical.” Every time you heat those pans up, you risk releasing toxins into the air. And every time you accidentally scratch the coating, you allow the toxins to transfer from the pan directly into your food.
GreenPan’s nonstick is the opposite: it’s made from PFAS-free, ceramic nonstick. And their GP5 pans use their most advanced nonstick surface yet: Infinite8. This stuff is metal utensil safe, longer lasting, and better performing than any ceramic nonstick you’ve ever tried.
GP5 is truly innovative, with loads of features that any level of home cook will appreciate:
If I seem a little crazy about these pans, it’s because I am. My GP5 set has made cooking at home so much more pleasant than it used to be. I don’t feel like I’m coming home from work to do more work when I cook with them, and that’s the best review I could possibly give.
GreenPan’s GP5 pans have allowed me to stick to my three rules for home cooking: it has to be easy, it has to be enjoyable, and it has to be healthy (or… healthy-ish). I’m seriously having way more fun with cooking than I ever had before. I’m trying out new recipes, making my wife’s favorites for dinner dates, and even hosting some social gatherings again.
I highly recommend these pans to anyone looking for high-quality nonstick cookware – And right now, you can get it for 10% off with code: PRIMARY10!
