Let’s be honest: taking collagen sucks.
It tastes awful, smells bad, makes me bloated – even in capsule form, it’s gag-worthy. Cue the Billy Mays voice: There has to be a better way!
Luckily, there are two disruptors in the beauty supplement space: Armra, a colostrum powder that promises incredible results (less bloating, boosted immunity, thicker hair, and radiant skin – among many others), and HealthyCell’s Vibrant Hair, Skin & Nails, a once-a-day gel packed with 7 pills’ worth of benefits.
I wanted to see which supplement could improve my dull skin, thinning hair, and easily-breakable nails. So I tried each for 30 days... Read on to find out the winner!
We’re starting off on the trendy side. Armra is a Colostrum™ concentrate, which claims to distill over 400 nutrients into a bioactive food that gives you whole body benefits. But one of the top reasons people take Armra? The thousands of 5-star reviews saying their hair and skin have been revitalized. Sounds pretty good to me!
It’s definitely not cheap, with a $109.99 price tag per Immune Revival Jar. Each jar is 120 servings, but you have to keep in mind that they recommend 3-4 servings daily, and that you can add onto that if you’re not seeing the results you want. That makes this come out to $3.68+ / day… easier to swallow, but not great.
Speaking of swallow, let’s talk about what it was actually like to consume Armra. I got Unflavored, and it basically lived up to its name – there was a very subtle taste, but nothing offending, and it easily mixed into other drinks.
And that’s really all I have to say about Armra – it’s that unremarkable. I think it may have made me less bloated, which is nice, but it simply did not do anything for my hair, skin, or nails, which is the whole reason I took it. I even increased the amount I took every day, but it ended up feeling like a waste of money to do so.
There is no doubt in my mind that Armra is good for me, but a miracle worker it is not.
Now, we pivot to HealthyCell’s Vibrant Hair, Skin & Nails – it’s all in the name!
Somewhat similarly to Armra, HealthyCell uses MicroGel technology to make their nutrients super bioavailable and absorbable. But unlike Armra, you only have to take one serving – aka one gel pouch – per day to get the benefits! The bang-for-your-buck factor is undeniable: you’re paying $59.95 for 30 servings, plus a subscription that saves you 10% every time. For just $2/day, you’re consuming 7 pills’ worth of supplements in one dose.
It’s also worth mentioning that these gels are delicious, with a natural raspberry flavor that’s delightful straight, or mixed into my morning smoothie. I seriously never thought collagen could taste this good.
Along with being a great way to start the day, I could actually see results from this gel!! I have to give it up to the powerhouse ingredients (Collagen Peptides, Vitamin C & E, among others), they definitely worked their magic. My nails are now thicker – something I never thought I could achieve – and I’m losing less hair in the shower. Not to mention, my skin has been glowing in that “lit from within” way, and I’m going makeup-free more often. All without breaking the bank!
I think the result is pretty clear: if you’re looking to replace your collagen, or just achieve the vibrancy you’ve been dreaming of, you need to go for HealthyCell’s Vibrant Hair, Skin & Nails. Try it for yourself , and save 10% on your first order with code PRIMARY10!
